D is for Deep

Deep Within

The moon rises
the night follows
another day descends
deep within
your eyes
now closed
forever
open
in Him
one last kiss
sails past your brow
into a perfect new beginning.

The moon sets
the night flees
another day begins
deep within
His word
now open
forever
open
in Him
one new kiss
sails past all sin
and lands
upon Christ's perfect feet.
Petra O. Hefner

Death, where is your victory? Death, where is your sting? 1 Corinthians 15:55
A a woman who had lived a sinful life... stood at His feet behind Him weeping, and began to wash His feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed His feet... Luke 7:37-38

D is for Don't

Don't worry about what people are thinking about you--for they are not thinking about you. They are wondering what you are thinking about them. --Anonymous

D is for Dandelions

I dislike them so much, I've threatened to undo them with my crochet hook. :-)

And voila, one Dandy Dandelion Headband!

Dankeschön!

  2. I am enjoying your poetry so much, Petra. We read the passage in Luke 7 last night during the women's bible study as part of meditating on the gospel in the light of Easter.

  4. I am not crazy about dandelions either but my little granddaughter thinks they are beautiful flowers and is forever picking them and handing out bouquets...all of a sudden they are beautiful. Think they would make a great headband

  5. You are so brilliant -- and sooo funny!!! What do you mean you "dislike dandelions"?! LOL

I love how you just weave it all together and make it seem so effortless! D" is for "Dear". That is what you are to me! :)
