in an old buckeye tree
stately static
silhouettes
suspended
in stillness
frozen
as if painted
across a real-life canvas
peace
full
tranquility
swelling
complacency
explodes

You posts are very creative. Snowy egrets are lovely birds. I can imagine them taking to flight from your poem. You're also inspiring me to get serious about crochet, Petra. :)
ReplyDeleteWe get lots of Egrets out here and I can never help myself when I walk past some and they fly off. I always comment "I have no Egrets". Childish but it amuses me.
